About
GMTCC
The Green Mountain Technology and Career
Center (GMTCC) is a regional public school that provides
career, technical, and vocational programs for high school and
adult students in the greater Lamoille Valley of Vermont.
Public schools served by the Center include Craftsbury
Academy, Hazen Union, Lamoille Union, Peoples Academy, and
Stowe High. Enrollment is also open to all towns in the
region, including those that do not have a designated high
school. All students should be at least 16 before October 15.
GMTCC was founded by the Vermont Department of Education in
1967 and is governed under and receives its funding through
Act 138 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated (USA).
Mission
Statement
Our mission, in partnership with the
community, is to insure, through personalized and applied
learning, mastery of the knowledge and skills necessary for
each student to create a successful future.
Accreditation
The Green Mountain Technology & Career Center has earned
full accreditation through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
This accreditation designates the Center as one that "… serves the public and
the educational community by establishing and maintaining high standards of
educational excellence through self-evaluation and peer review." New England
