The latest in
digital communications and state of the art applications
in the ever-expanding world of electronics is featured
in this new course. This program prepares students in
basic electricity, electron theory, direct and
alternating current fundamentals, and electronic systems
with emphasis on computer/digital interfaces.
Laboratory
exercises will reinforce all of the theoretical studies
of the subject. Students will prepare circuits for audio
amplifiers, digital control applications, and radio
frequency telecommunications devices. Emphasis will be
placed on computer troubleshooting and repair. The use
of power supplies, signal generators, and electronic
test equipment will be utilized in the course. The
industry standard of A+ certification will be available
for the student at the completion of the course.
Desirable
Qualifications: Prerequisites to enter this course
would include good color discrimination, ability to
perform detailed tasks, eye-hand-coordination, and
completion of Algebra I with a grade of C or better.
