Electrical Technology
The Electrical Technology curriculum provides students with leading edge technical training in all phases of residential and commercial wiring, which will prepare students for career opportunities in the electrical industry. Students receive instruction in the safe and proper operation of tools and power equipment, reading electrical plans and specifications, and employability skills needed in the 21st century workplace. During the second semester students will have the opportunity to put their acquired knowledge and skills to work by wiring a complete house built in the construction program. The program also includes the study and implementation of energy savings techniques and alternate energy sources working with Green Energy students have been installing working Solar Panels on the school campus.

Careers in Electrical (use Electrical as the key word)
In addition to jobs created by the increased demand for electrical work, openings are expected over the next decade as electricians retire. This will create good job opportunities, especially for those with the widest range of skills, including voice, data, and video wiring. Job openings for electricians will vary by location and specialty, however, and will be best in the fastest growing regions of the country.
