Pre-Tech

This is a program designed for tenth graders. This unique program provides a challenging environment for students with varied learning styles. The classroom setting encourages creativity through experimental learning opportunities. The pre-tech schedule begins at 8:15 and ends at 1:32. During this time students cover English, Social Studies, Science, and Math, PE, and Technology Education.

The exploratory program will allow students to attend all programs offered at Green Mountain Career and Technology Center, for a specified period of time. Cooperation and flexibility are crucial, because pre-tech students work with the same 20 students throughout the day. In addition, they will be working with every teacher at the technical center. At the conclusion of the program, successful pre-tech students will be recommended to enter a GMTCC program for 11th grade, or they can return to their sending school. Enrollment is limited to 20 students.

Students need a minimum of 4 credits, one of which is English
